Custom Page Plugin

Custom Page Plugin

A Test version of the custom page plugin is now in downloads at [link]

NOW updated to version 1.1.5 - see the notes on the download page about upgrading the db table. This version fixes a problem with link creation/deletion, adds start and end times for page visibility and sorts out a problem with required fields.

Following a request I'm now modding it to work from the root and with a slightly different format for the seo type urls. so all the more reason not to use it on a live site at the moment.

Now the download is the latest version. You need to put cpage.php in the root of your web site; the htaccess rewrite rules need to be in the root htaccess. has to be cpage.php as the core e107 hard codes page.php and buggers things up atm. Remember it is experimental and may possibly change further.

Remember this is just a TEST version to assess user's feedback Although I'm using it on a live site [link] (look under the information link) I'd recommend it only to go on a site you are happy to play around with.

You can import existing custom pages (they are not deleted) and see how it functions.

There is a discussion forum at [link] for comments, bugs, ideas etc

LED Banner

LED banner 1.7

With grateful thanks to Michiel Horvers (Visit Mikes site) who has done some major work on the LED applet I can now offer the enhanced version of the LED banner plugin.

Mike has done alot of work on it (see changelog.txt) and I've utilised that to enable multiple user class based messages.

Please note though, there is no UTF8 support and so it will not support foreign character sets. This is a limitation of the original applet.

Times are now displayed properly for local time and colours can be specified as #RRGGBB and can fade from one colour to another. The plugin no longer needs the message and source directories.

Checking for spammers

Blocking Spammers

Today I've implemented a new checking system for spammy signups. It uses stopforumspam.com. I've made a plugin which queries on each sign up or login or both (admin configurable) and if it finds your IP, email address or username (all optional) it will block you.

Site Admins can go take a look at the backend so far.

When I get chance I'll look to see if I can add [link] as the backend.

It has a whitelist and will add (if required) all admin IPs when they visit the site so they don't get blocked.

I'm also going to add support for submitting ip/email/username details into the database but I've had a bummer of a day for meetings and stupid users so didn't get chance to do all I wanted on it.

If you find yourself blocked please email me at -email- and give details of your usual IP or email address.
